In that post, we referred to an Everest Group, research piece, commissioned by GSA- Global Sourcing Association, in which it had predicted circa 5% annual growth, but subsequently reported that the actual growth is an astounding: 8-9% across business services and a whopping circa 20% growth in IT (inc Digital) services outsourcing. The post also flagged up challenges and the biggest challenge many enterprises face is the war on talent; GSA- Global Sourcing Association stated in their manifesto that recent research showed that “43% of enterprises say that they are not satisfied with their service providers’ readiness to start work’’. So, when you relate all of that to a short article, recently published by Gartner on adding value, it really does focus the mind on the challenge, opportunity and clear growth benefits of not only being ready to deliver on point but setting out to always go above and beyond. The article suggested, ‘Great service experiences may stem attrition, but only “value enhancing” service experiences drive retention and growth.’ Gartner highlighted that the positive impact on loyalty behaviours is massive when customers enjoy a value-enhancing experience, this positive impact includes: 82% likelihood of retaining your services 86% probability of increasing their spend 97% rate of positive recommendation So, are you genuinely delivering or receiving tangible ‘added value’ in relation to Tech & Digital Services?
